I love this poem for many reasons. This poem shows an extremely genuine and passionate love. Not only does it show the love they share, but it also conveys the connection and chemistry they have between them as she mentions that they are one. It gave me butterflies reading this and truly made me emotional. It's a love that most people long to have and personally I hope I love someone this much and that someone will love me back just as much. To be able to say these things about a person and the love that is shared is such a wonderful thing. It just makes me happy seeing other people happy.
I definitely get the feeling of unite and connection when I read this poem too! We all read these poems and see them as the "ideal love" and we all wish we could have something like that but we know we can't. I love how you connect it to your emotions and how you said it made you emotional just reading it. A poem like this can definitely do that. Do you think you've ever experienced love like this?
ReplyDeleteI agree with you! I feel like like love is something many of us long to have. I have experienced love for sure, but not as strong and as genuine as this!
DeleteI really love how deep and heart felt the love was portrayed in this poem. I really like how it shows that there is a deep connection with the significant other in the poem and how even when they are not alive together anymore, the person in the poem wants to still be together forever. Everyone some way or another almost begs to find a love like this because it so true and currently we do not also get a love like this in today's society for many different reasons. Many people currently believe that you need another person involved to find a love like this, but in the poem I chose, a person marries them self. Do you think it is possible to love yourself in this way or do you believe you can only feel this way about another person?
