Bear Guy and German Man

Watching Grizzly Man in class was much different than watching it alone when I was younger. As I payed more attention to how different Treadwells vision of nature was from Herzogs. It was really interesting and sometimes entertaining to see how Herzog had the opposite feelings towards nature as Treadwell. Both of there views seemed to be extreme in there own way. Herzog almost seemed to make a fool out of Treadwell, although I think Treadwell sometimes made a fool of himself. His intense personality, mixed with some anti-social behaviors, and his obsession with himself being the star to his own action film made for some incredibly entertaining and sometimes hilarious footage of him. Herzog on the other hand brought a very different mood to the documentary, focusing more on the tragedy that came out of Treadwells well meaning stupidity. Herzog always seemed to rope the viewer back in with his calm slow voice and remind people that it wasn't actually an action movie, it was real.
The difference between their views of nature became so obvious bye the end of the story. If i had a nickel for every time Treadwell told one of the animals he loved them I think I'd be rich. He believed he had such a strong connection with the nature he protected, when he said he loved that land I believed him one hundred percent. That all became very obvious when we saw how emotional Treadwell got over and over again, crying over a dead animal and experience he had with one of the animals, sometimes he would just breakdown and cry.
