Death. Even the word itself gives me goosebumps. I am terrified to die, personally. It makes me worry that when I die I will miss something important from the life that just ended. When I die I want to rememeber the life that I previously lived, and it scares me to think that I might not remember my life or the people that were in my life. I think, well id like to think that when we die we are able to go where we would like and do what we would like instead of just Heaven and Hell.
There is no real possible way to know for sure what happens when we die, but I do have my own hope and dreams for what could happen. I like to believe we are all reunited with who we have lost in our lives and who we've been missing and who we have been begging to even possibly meet.I think that one day everything will just disappear and we will not be around anymore and I am not exactly okay with that answer but I am not able to change what happens after life. I would like there to be an after life where I will continue on but deep down I feel that will not happen, so I have to be okay with that.
I really agree with your view. I think that everyone is scared to die honestly. The unknown scares us as humans. I do think that you are reunited with loved ones once you pass away. In my post, I talked about heaven and hell, but I really like how you talked about there being more. I really do think people go where they want to go. Do you think the places they want to go could be within heaven and hell? Don't let the fear of the unknown stop you from living your life now.
ReplyDeleteI disagree with Maddie about everyone being scared of death. People commit suicide, or knowingly put themselves in dangerous situations where they have to accept the fact that they might die and they become okay with it. It is a very real fear for many people though. I don't believe death should be feared, but that's easier said than done. And it's only natural to not want to die, that's how our species has survived for so long. In some ways, however, life is something that should be feared more than death. Life is unpredictable. In death (not afterlife) however, everyone is equal. Every person will die no matter how rich and/or powerful they are. Money can help someone live longer by providing things like medicine, but that's prolonging their LIFE, not ending their impending death. A wealthy person can have just as violent a death as someone who's poor. They might die in different ways, but their deaths could be equally as long and be equally as painful. What do you think about death's equality? Do you believe it is equal, or do the rich have some kind of advantage?
ReplyDeleteI like your thought of everyone doing as they please in the afterlife. I don't think I've heard that one before, and it's an interesting new perspective. Do you know of any religion that has the same belief? I feel like there must be a religion like that. There are so many that are all so different. I also liked how honest you were with yourself.
I agree with your views on an afterlife. I hate how we can't be okay with any answer on what happens to us after death takes us over. No matter what, life is too short and there's nothing we can do to keep our lives going on forever. Sadly, we all have to watch others lives pass and eventually our own will be taken too. It also makes me sick thinking about it as well. I like your belief of going to where we would like to go, rather than heaven and hell. That's a very interesting thought that I've never heard of before. What if a person does not have a place they would like to go? Or they just haven't thought about that? Great thoughts!
