RP topic Russian Folklore in fairy tales
I picked this topic because ever since I was a kid, I was always so fascinated by Fairy Tales such as, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Snow White etc... When I saw the topic of Russian Folklore I honestly had no idea what it was, but I knew it seemed interesting. When I started to research the topic I came across a lot of generalized things. When I started to do some more research I came across this sentence "Russian Folklore takes its roots in the pagan beliefs of ancient Slavs and now is represented in the Russian fairy tales." That's when I realized this was the topic for me. I am so excited to see what kinds of awesome fairy tales I can find and see how much they are like our fairy tales.

I really liked your post. Like you, I've never heard of Russian folklore nor do I know anything about it. I think it's going to be super interesting to compare and contrast Russian fairytales from the ones that we're all so used to. Since some fairytales have versions in different cultures, Like Cinderella, I was wondering if you had any specific fairytale that you would want to see the Russian version of. If so, what would that fairytale be? This is going to be a great research paper!
