For my research paper, I will be writing about the correlation between astronomy and Greek mythology. This includes the constellations, science and cultural backgrounds of the famous Greek myths typically learned about in middle school grades. Astrology and astronomy are both major components to understanding the
Greek myths, and I plan to understand and write about this critical relationship between them.
I chose this topic because science and astronomy has always been fascinating to me. Horoscopes, constellations, and the greater unknowns beyond our eye of sight is something I will always love to learn about. Although, I would never be able to obtain an astronomy degree, it is something I constantly try to learn something new about everyday. Being a future science major, writing a topic in the science field can only benefit me, and help me learn something new before a rigorous college career.
Brittany, I think this will be a great topic! I don't know a lot about either of those topics so it will be great to learn more about them. It will be interesting how you connect them. Mariah is also doing Greek Mythology so I wonder if your knowledge that you learn will help each other. You said that you want to be a future science major. What do you want to major in? Is it related to Astrology? I am excited to read more about this!
