We can't possibly know the truth about what happens after death but each individual is allowed to have his or her own idea. While it is on the rather unpleasant side, I hold the belief that after death there is no afterlife, and we experience a nothingness for lack of a better word. Quantifying what that nothingness means is not easy, for me it's almost impossible to imagine what its like to not exist. I can't say for certain there is no afterlife however. realistically its just as possible as any other outcome.

Death by Electric Boogalo
Death is the ultimate mystery. There is much speculation about what happens after we pass on. Different religions have varying predictions and even those who don't follow any religion have views on the afterlife. Death is a scary idea because we know nothing about it, but conceptualizing an afterlife can help cope with the fear of the inevitable. Does our conscious leave our body and travel to an ideal realm or does the biochemistry in our brain shut down and that's the end?

Crazy stuff Joey. I totally agree with what you said about people coping with death. Little confused about your title but definitely interesting and creative. I'm wondering why you believe that there is just nothing when we die? I believe that our soul is somehow transferred into something else we are unaware of and that the rest of our body just decomposes.
ReplyDeleteI am impressed with how creative and "out there" this post is. I was drawn to the title of the post, which is why I chose to comment on it, but what is Electric Boogalo? I like how you questioned people's beliefs in an inquisitive way and made the reader think in the post. I am also interested to know, are you in agreement with other people and also fearful of death? I love how this post was short and sweet but also made me think. Nice one
